The PCM girls basketball team opens up their season at home tonight against Chariton.
The Mustangs bring back their two leading scorers from last season in Tori Lindsay and Addison Steenhoek. PCM also returns three players that saw action in at least five varsity games last winter in Elle Davis, Jorja Teeter and Rebecca De Vries. PCM is 4-3 against Chariton in the Bound era, reclaiming the advantage in the matchup with a 41-32 victory over the Chargers last year. PCM coach Sami Allison-Rodriquez is excited to start the season and with the support they have from the community.
“Our support system is amazing here. From administration, to the parents, to the fans. Even all summer long people were saying how excited they were to get back into the gym. It’s winter time in Iowa and we try really hard to bring an exciting game to PCM.”
The PCM girls basketball teams game tonight in Monroe is slated to tip off at 7:30 pm.
