A bible that has lasted over the length of the formation of the United States was found by a local business owner recently, as Kathy Magruder with Pageturners Bookstore in Indianola was combing through old books at a retirement home before coming across the rare find.

Magruder tells KNIA News after researching, she found the bible originated in 1767 in Selkirkshire, Scotland, and somehow followed a family to the United States and ended up in Iowa. Magruder said she did research on the family and found out many details about their descendants, but there is still some mystery to the location in Iowa.
