Pleasantville senior Madilyn Rowson finished third at 170 pounds at the Central Iowa Kickoff Tournament held in Nevada on Saturday.

Rowson lost to Autumn Elsbury of South Tama County in a semi-finals match but came back for the pin in the third place match over Kayma Burleson of Clear Lake to secure her third place spot on the podium. Ella Clark at 110 pounds won her first match of the day over Alivia Frost of West Marshall, but ultimately lost her next two to finish 1-2 on the day. Maggie Gasparovich and Emma Ellis, also competed Saturday for the Trojans for a total of four wrestlers participating in the tournament for Pleasantville. The Trojans finished 26th overall with 25 team points.

The Pleasantville girls wrestling team will next compete on Saturday, November 25th at the Belle Plaine Invitational.
