In their first action of the 2023-2024 season, the Pella Christian bowling teams fell to Sigourney Keota Monday night. The Eagles boys fell in their match 2990-2072, while the girls squad was defeated 1948-1556. Pella Christian was only able to hold two practices prior to the meet, and despite the losses, head coach Rod Blunck was pleased with how the team performed. Leading the Eagle boys in the loss was Andrew VanKooten with a 2 game score of 327, followed by Evan DeJong at 293 and Finn Spronk at 274. The Pella Christian girls were led on the day by Bella Pu at 246, followed by Caitlin Veenstra at 212 and Macy VanderHart at 210. The Eagles are back in action next Tuesday, traveling to Pleasant Hill for a meet against Bondurant Farrar.
