The most traveled days of the year are today and Sunday around the Thanksgiving holiday, and decent weather will greet drivers today with the chance for light snow this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, cool but dry weather is expected during much of the time. Sunny and breezy conditions are expected today with above normal highs before a cold front passes through with little threat of precipitation. However, temperatures will be colder into Thanksgiving Day with partly cloudy skies. A weak system is expected to pass through Iowa on Saturday night into early Sunday with a chance of light snow across portions of central Iowa. At this time, light accumulations are possible with some minor travel impacts possible by early Sunday morning.
