Four PCM football players have received Class 2A all-state honors from the Iowa Football Coaches Association/Iowa Print Sports Writers Association on Tuesday.

Adrien Robbins was a first team selection at the running back position. The junior had 2,575 all-purpose yards along with 25 touchdowns on the season including a 409 yard rushing performance in week seven against West Marshall. His week seven performance broke the school record for rushing yards in a game and was the 25th most in a game all time in the State of Iowa. Robbins was second in Class 2A for all-purpose yards and rushing yards this season along with being fifth in rushing touchdowns. Senior offensive lineman Mark Bussan was a first team selection as well, helping anchor the dominant PCM offensive line. PCM Coach Greg Bonnett said Bussan is a name Mustang fans will remember for a while.

I think that everybody if you’ve been watching PCM football for the last couple years you’re going to remember Mark Bussan because he’s 6’6” 300 pounds and can move like a tight end would. He’s just an awesome guy to have for us. He can really take care of the line of scrimmage on offense.”

Senior defensive back and receiver Griffin Olson also received first team honors coming away with five interceptions on the year and 13 touchdown receptions.

Rounding out all-state honors for the Mustangs was junior defensive lineman Kaeden Clark, who received second team honors. PCM Coach Greg Bonnett talked about what Clark brings to the team.

“I played college football and he is just a guy that I would not want to tangle with. He is a big, strong, aggressive, intelligent kid, and he does a great job.”

Clark was also a two way player for PCM all season and came away with 26 tackles on the year. The Mustangs finished their 2023 season with a 8-3 overall record after a loss to Van Meter in the state quarterfinals.
