The Indianola City Council approved the application process for Community Block Grants for facade improvements to the downtown Indianola square, which will provide funding to property owners to repair and replace infrastructure on the square. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the improvements will be a big benefit to the square and retain the history of the square while fixing some of the issues due to age.
“We had an architect come in, and we’ve worked with eight different property owners on different improvements that could be made. We encourage the public to go out and take a look at the renderings on what this grant would mean and how it could bring a lot of beauty and benefit to our community.”
