With the Indianola boys basketball team losing a massive senior class and only bringing back one player with varsity experience, head coach Jeff Ebling expects some growing pains along the way. Ebling tells KNIA Sports early in the season as they are tested by a tough schedule, he is looking for the team to adjust to the highest level of state basketball after most of the players played JV or middle school basketball previously.
“Just them getting used to the speed and physicality, especially in class 4A basketball, it’s just different. You are going to have learning experiences, it’s whether or not you can take those learning chances and apply them in the future and prepare yourself long-term.”
The Indians get their season started on Tuesday against Southeast Polk.
