The second annual Light up the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum took place on Friday night.

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum welcomed in the holiday season with a lighting ceremony in collaboration with JB’s Holiday Lights and the Optimist Club of Knoxville. The event also featured a visit from Santa Claus, who handed out gifts to young children in attendance. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Executive Director Bob Baker said that he was grateful for those who attended and helped them kick off the holiday season.

“It was a lot of fun to watch the lights come on and especially to see the kids flip the switch and have some fun with Santa Claus and enjoy some hot chocolate here at the museum tonight on a cold night to kick off the holiday season. We’re just ready for the holidays and glad that everybody showed up that could make it and glad for all the people that sat in their cars and watched too.”

The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was also at the event playing Christmas music.
