The first snowflakes stacked up across south central Iowa. The following totals were reported to the National Weather Service:

Knoxville (KNIA/KRLS) – 3″
Pella (KNIA/KRLS) – 2.5″
Melcher-Dallas – 3.3″
Near Milo – 3.5″
New Virginia – 3″

A cold start to the week is in the forecast as temperatures remain near or below freezing, but a gradual warm up is expected by mid-week into the 40s. No significant precipitation is expected during that time.
