The Knoxville Rotary Club will be holding an end polio dinner on Wednesday, December 6th.

The event will feature Pilot John Ockenfels as a keynote speaker for the Rotary’s “Around the World: Flight to End Polio” effort. Ockenfels has been piloting a small aircraft for over 43 years, and maintains unique training airplanes from World War 2. The dinner will be from 5:30-8:00 pm at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Tickets for the event are $30 and all proceeds help with the fight to end polio. The evening will include a catered meal, wine, door prizes, and a silent auction. To purchase tickets, call 908-432-0214 before December 1st. Knoxville Rotary Club Co-President Jake Hughes hopes Rotary can end polio once and for all.

Polio seems like something that is a very 1950’s disease that is in the distant past, but it is actually still ongoing in some parts of the world and Rotary has been working for decades to help stamp it out for good and this will help.”

Tickets are also available for purchase at Croghan and Russell, CPA, Johnson, Lane, Hughes Law Office, Knoxville Chiropractic, Sundance Realty, and Treasured Portraits.
