The Pella bowling teams opened up the 2023-24 calendar in Oskaloosa Monday, falling in both the boys and girls matches. The Dutch boys fell 3110-2850 and the girls lost 2162-1928. Top bowlers were Alex Mitchel with a 417 and Carter Failor with a 406 on the boys side and Xavia Walker led the girls team with a 291 series, and Taylor Walker finished with a 260.

Pella is next in action Friday at Newton against Knoxville and Davis County, followed by a Saturday invitational.
