The Pella School Board hosted its annual organizational meeting Monday. The board, after adjourning with outgoing directors Tim Tripp and Gary Coppock, welcomed new members Travis Thompson and Paul Weesner, who took their oath of office. The board then elected Joan Corbin as its president and Elisa Klahsen vice president.

Also on the agenda was a public hearing for the upcoming school calendar, as well as a review of policy changes proposed in response to legislative action taken earlier this year. Additionally, the board approved their official secretary, treasurer, publication, legal counsel, and any potential changes to the board calendar in the current academic year.
