The Pleasantville boys and girls basketball teams will host the Melcher-Dallas Saints tonight. 

This will be the first game of the season for both boys teams as they look to kick off the 2023-2024 season in the win column. The Trojan boys finished last season with an 11-11 overall record and will bring back leading scorers Dayson Leerhoff, Ryder Thill, and Trent Jolly. The Saints boys team lost a large number of players from last season to graduation and are in the process of rebuilding.

The Pleasantville girls team is 0-1 on the season after a loss in their first game last Tuesday to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 69-23. Joelle Johnson contributed to the majority of the scoring in the game with 15 points. The Saints are 1-0 heading into the contest after beating Wayne 63-53 in their first game of the season last week. 

Tip off for the girls game tonight is scheduled for 6:00 pm and the boys game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 pm.
