The Pella Public Library will welcome local author Carol Van Klompenburg next week. An event will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 1:30 p.m. for a reading/performance of her recent book, Creative Aging: 52 Ways to Add Life to Your Years. Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing after the presentation.
Carol Van Klompenburg is a writer who has lived in Pella since 1979. Her most recent published books are a memoir: Child of the Plains and a book of essays and poems: Tending Beauty; Forty Moments in my Gardens. She currently writes a weekly column called “Creative Aging” for Marion County Express. Her previous work with words includes teaching writing in high school and college and managing The Write Place writing and graphic arts service.
This event will take place in the Pella Public Library Meeting Room and is free and open to the public.
