The United Soccer Coaches released its NCAA Division III Women’s All-Region IV team Tuesday and Grace Coates and Paige Cahill represent the Central College women’s soccer team on this year’s squad as second-team selections.

Coates, a forward, scored 15 goals in 18 starts for the Dutch. She had braces against St. Mary’s College (Ind.) and Buena Vista University and a hat trick against the University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Minn.). She led the Dutch with 77 shot attempts and added six assists. Coates was also a first team American Rivers All-Conference selection.

Cahill, a midfielder, made 16 starts and scored six goals. She broke the school records for assists in a season with 11 and assists in a career with 22. She had double assists in games against Westminster College (Mo.) and Buena Vista University. Cahill was also a first team American Rivers All-Conference selection. It’s just the third time in program history Central has had multiple all-region honorees in the same season. The duo are the 12th and 13th selections all-time for Central.

The Dutch were 9-5-4 this season, including a 4-3-1 mark in league matches. They finished tied for fourth in the conference standings.
