New Knoxville School Board officers were sworn in at Monday night’s school board meeting.

Incumbent Dave Smith, who was recently elected to a new term, was nominated to be school board president, which was unanimously approved by the board. Incumbent Monica Sullivan was then nominated as school board vice president, which was also unanimously approved by the board. Craig Mobley was then sworn in to continue his role of school board secretary and treasurer. At the meeting there was the oath of office given to new school board members Brian Slykhuis and Susan Swartzendruber. Also at the meeting was the determination of what board members would serve on each committee. Knoxville Community School District Business Manager Craig Mobley is excited to continue their momentum.

“I look forward to working with the new board and continuing the progress that we have been making.”

The Knoxville School Board will just meet once in the month of December due to the fourth Monday falling on Christmas Day.
