The Knoxville Cancer relay is holding a Thelma’s fried chicken dinner fundraiser on Monday to try and reach their $50,000 fundraising goal.

The dinner will be served in the KNX parking lot in Knoxville starting at 5:00 pm and advanced tickets are not required. All proceeds go to the Knoxville Cancer Relay to help reach their goal of $50,000 for the American Cancer Society. The Knoxville Cancer Relay, which took place September 14-16th of this year, is one of the largest cancer fundraisers in the state. Earlier this year, a team ran across the state of Iowa to try and reach their fundraising goal for the American Cancer Society. The team is just roughly $4,000 shy of their $50,000 goal and KCR runner Pat Finan hopes everyone continues to help get them over the top.

“We are almost there and there is a lot people can do to help us get that $50,000 goal. We appreciate the help the community has given us so far. We encourage everyone to go to the Knoxville Cancer Relay site to look at our fundraisers and turn out to get us over the top.”
