This award was given to the Knoxville Dance team as they carry an average 3.47 GPA. The team has received this award six years in a row, and every year that Coach Devin Dunkin has been coach. Dunkin was required to submit GPAs for dancers who are in 10th-12th grade this year for the second semester of school last year.
Along with the academic achievement award, the Panthers saw success in three other categories that they competed in on Friday. The team earned second place in Class X Pom, second place in Class II Prop, and sixth place in Class IV Jazz.
