The Pleasantville boys and girls basketball teams will be hosting West Central Conference opponent Madrid tonight for a varsity doubleheader.

The Pleasantville girls are 2-2 on the season coming off a 52-44 loss to ninth ranked Earlham on Friday nights. The Trojans have seen impressive production from junior Joelle Johnson who has scored 95 points over her last three games and is averaging 28.3 points per game so far on the season. Madrid is 0-4 on the season and they are 62-18 loss to number three ranked Panorama on Friday night. The Tigers are led in scoring by senior Claire Knudsen who is averaging ten points per game. 

The Pleasantville boys are 1-1 on the season and are coming off a 63-54 loss to Earlham on Friday. The Trojan boys have been led in scoring by freshman Braylon Bingham who is averaging 25.5 points per game through the first two games of the season. Seniors Trent Jolly and Ryder Thill have also been key contributors to the Trojans offensive production as well. The Madrid boys are off to a 3-0 start to the year and have been led in scoring by junior Toryn Severson who is averaging 27 points a game so far this season.

Tonight’s varsity doubleheader starts with the girls game at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow.
