As temperatures warm through this work week, values will be near records over central and southern Iowa, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are expected in the mid 50s to around 60 degrees Thursday and Friday, which is generally about 15-20 degrees higher than normal high values for this time of the year. Additionally, cooler weather will follow with the potential for precipitation Friday night into Saturday morning — but what types and how much won’t be determined until later this week.
