The Pleasantville Dance Team continued their tradition of success last week at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association State Championship in Des Moines.

Pleasantville was crowned a State Champion for their Class II Novelty routine, Finding Bigfoot. In addition to the first place finish, the routine was awarded a Judge’s Choice Award, which was the program’s third consecutive in the Novelty category. They also finished in fifth place in Class I Color Guard, sixth place in Class VI Pom, and soloist Addison Wall took eighth place in the Class I Color Guard Solos. Head coach of the Pleasantville Dance Team Miika Busick said that the girls have worked hard to reach the level of success they’ve achieved.

“We have a tradition of excellence at the Pleasantville Dance Team and every year I feel like we bring the very best that we have and great routines, and it just means so much to me to be able to have a team of girls that works so hard and performs at such a high level, and it was just another great year.”
