Indianola Basketball Travels to Oskaloosa
The Indianola boys and girls basketball teams continue Little Hawkeye Conference action tonight as they are on the road to Oskaloosa. The Indians girls have faced a tough schedule so far this season but are 1-0 in conference play after blowing out Newton in the opener. The Indians boys have struggled to score so far this season, averaging just 37 points per game in their two contests and giving up 50. Head coach Jeff Ebling tells KNIA Sports this early in the season with so many new players, he and his staff are still trying to figure out the best formula for success.
“Watching different combinations, trying different things in practice to solidify some things. Maybe this group looks better than this group or vice versa, or maybe this is a good pressing kind of group. There are a lot of things you can do, so we’ll try to take advantage of that and prepare for a battle.”
The games will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6pm, with tip-off scheduled for 6:15.
