A new sculpture was added to the Wonder Spelen playground in Pella on Thursday. Designed by The Randolph Rose Collection, the “Arbor Children” sculpture is described by the Wonder Spelen group as “playful and fun” with appreciation for nature and friendship. This lost-wax bronze statue features a boy and girl lifting a floral arbor, which may remind visitors of children jumping rope. Carefully selected in partnership with the Wonder Spelen Board and the City of Pella, this sculpture was donated to the playground by the Pella Garden Club. Visit pellagardenclub.org to learn more, and stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS to hear from Mark Wiskus and Fred Kreykes about the upcoming expansion of the Wonder Spelen playground.
