The Norwalk boys wrestling team split a double dual at home Thursday night, defeating Oskaloosa 61-11 and finishing on the short end of a 58-7 decision against Southeast Polk. The Warriors are now 2-0 in Little Hawkeye Conference duals and 2-1 overall.

Norwalk won seven out of 10 contested matches vs. Osky and picked up four wins by forfeit. Tyler Harper, Harrison Tripp and Kolton Borcherding-Johnson all pinned their opponent in less than a minute, including Tripp’s 29-second win by fall. Tyler Stanford and Victor Esparza also notched pins, Tate Turner scored a major decision and Liam McLaughlin won 11-4.

The Warriors went 2-11 against the unbeaten Rams. Dominic Tigner earned a 4-1 decision and Harper capped a 2-0 night at 113 pounds with a 12-1 major.

Norwalk will wrestle at Saturday’s Johnston Invitational starting at 10:00 a.m.
