After suffering their first loss of the season Friday night, the Pella Christian boys basketball team will look to get back on track Monday night with a road trip to Des Moines Christian.

The Eagles, who stand at 3-1 overall on the season, return to non-conference action where they are unbeaten so far on the young season. They’ll take on a Lions squad that is also 3-1 on the season. Des Moines Christian’s three wins came against Carlisle, West Central Valley, and Interstate 35 and their one loss came against Dallas Center-Grimes. Coming off their first loss, Pella Christian head coach JD Boer says that he’s got a great team that he’s confident will continue to play alongside one another as they try to bounce back.

“I love this group. They are so connected, they’re so together, and they play for each other really well. And it’s because of that, that I don’t see anything that makes me too concerned, because I know these guys are gonna fight right back and I know they’re not giving in.”

Tip-off between the Eagles and Lions Monday night at Des Moines Christian High School is slated for 7:15 pm.
