The Pella girls wrestling earned a clean sweep at the Clarke Duals Tuesday. The Dutch defeated Southeast Warren 66-6, Southern Tier 58-6, and the hosting Indians girls 66-15.
Head Coach Adam Hale:
“We benefited a bit on the team side tonight with having more of a full lineup, but I was happy with how we wrestled in our matches today. We’ve got a couple girls who are starting to get to their offense more, others who are doing an improved job of mixing up their attacks, and others who are making strides with their physicality. We’ve been really stressing constant movement in different positions during practice, and that’s really starting to translate better to competition; our girls are getting out of predicaments, pushing the pace, finishing shots, and all around just scoring more as a result.”
Pella returns to action Saturday at Cedar Rapids Prairie.
