Three members of the Central College volleyball team were announced as earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades on Tuesday.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must play in 90% of a team’s contests at the varsity level or start in 66% of the games while achieving a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average (4.00 scale). 

Elyse Johnson, Avery Rexroat, and Leslie Snow were the three Central players chosen. They are now all under consideration for Academic All-American honors. Johnson, a political science and Spanish double major, maintains a 3.92 GPA. She had a team-high 74 blocks on the season and was second with 43 service aces. She also had 191 kills and was American Rivers All-Conference honorable mention. Rexroat, a biology major, carries a 3.96 GPA and led the team with 794 assists, while logging 10 double-doubles on the season and being selected as a first team all-conference pick. Snow, an undeclared major, has a 3.72 GPA and led the Dutch with 249 kills while also logging 10 double-doubles on the season.

Central was 22-10 overall on the season with a 4-4 mark in American Rivers Conference matches.
