The Indianola School Board laid out their priorities for choosing a new superintendent at their meeting Monday, which involves the same language when they began the search process several years ago when then superintendent Art Sathoff announced his retirement.
Board President Mack Rankin tells KNIA News the board laid out characteristics they wanted in a new superintendent.
“Part of our priority is finding the right leader to come into the district to continue to propel us forward. We want somebody that is able to engage both internally and externally. Somebody who has a really good, high moral character, and someone who is going to be really willing to do the hard work that needs to be done.”
