hospice-of-pella-check-donation

Last week, Hospice of Pella received a donation for just over $5,500 dollars from 100+ Men Red Rock to support their Day of Care Program.

The program provides a way for families and friends to give their loved ones a day or days of routine care. Bereavement Coordinator at Hospice of Pella Leah Garland says that program serves patients that require a level of care that is beyond what a loved one can provide.

“Our patients are treated with such dignity and respect as they near the end of their life. And so, now as they are here just pretty much with their family and their faith and not much to be able to do on their own, this just comes alongside so that the family can remain the family. They don’t have to be the caregiver, and so it’s just a beautiful place to be able to say your goodbyes and gather your family here.”
