The Indianola School Board approved the childcare rates for the 2024 summer and the 2024/25 school year at their meeting Monday, keeping the rates the same as this year to help families who rely on the service from the district. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the board and district have tried to raise the rates as needed every other year to help parents plan more effectively.
“It’s one of those pieces where every two years we try to figure out where we are at compared to other school communities and adjust our rates accordingly. This is the second year of the rates, they were raised a little bit last year, so they will be the same next year moving forward.”
