The No. 23 Simpson College women’s wrestling team had another strong showing on Saturday as it continued dual action at the Kalahari Duals hosted by Heidelberg University.
The Storm (11-3) went toe to toe with No. 7 Lock Haven to start the day, but fell just short in a 26-21 decision. Simpson then rattled off four straight wins beginning with a 30-16 win over Delaware Valley. The Storm also defeated Hiram (33-10), Alma (40-7) and Augustana (34-16).
Four wrestlers tallied four wins on the day led by Keeley Kehrli with four pins. Ninth-ranked Kassidee Savaria went 4-1 with three pins, while Jalynn Goodale and Sarah Zimmerman recorded four wins as well.
Simpson ended the day with 21 pins, five more than the next highest team with 16. Overall, the Storm were 32-17 in varsity matches.
