Tax season is set to begin in January. Brett Nikkel is a professional CPA with Van Maanen, Siestra, Meyer & Nikkel in Pella, and says that now is the time for taxpayers to begin to prepare for filing their taxes. 

“This is a good time of year to just start getting your financial information together and do a little bit of an end of year review, you might say, and kind of see where you’re at. And then you could work with a tax professional or do some planning on your own, to kind of see where you’re at and if there’s things that you could do before the year end to make things a little bit better before you actually file that tax return.”
