An Indianola student will be competing in the AAU Presidential World Cup in Orlando, Florida in February, as Brooklynn Sedlock will represent Indianola High School as a competitive baton twirler in the Feature Twirler and Color Guard Soloist competitions. Sedlock is looking for support from the community to help attend the event and tells KNIA News any sponsorship money will go towards the fees to enter the competition, along with travel and accommodations.
“Getting the support from the community would mean a lot to me because I would be able to compete in more than one event. I would be able to compete in the high school one, which includes an interview with a sports interviewer and doing a 30-45 second routine like what I would do at football games. Then I would also be able to compete in a portion that is the World Cup portion.”
Sedlock was featured on Let’s Talk Indianola earlier this week.
