The Knoxville City Council met Monday night and recognition was given for council member Jyl DeJong, who served at her last meeting.
DeJong did not seek re-election for a new term, and she will be replaced by Bridget Mohler, who will assume her new role at the next city council meeting on Tuesday, January 2nd. Also at the meeting was approval for the sale of city property at 314 W Robinson St. to Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $28,000, and a lengthy discussion with Knoxville Economic Development Director Glenn Lyons in regards to hiring Confluence Inc. to Assist City Staff In Undertaking Revisions To The Veterans District Master Plan. The board ultimately approved the hire of Confluence Inc. for $9,500.
