The PCM boys and girls basketball teams will travel to Jewell tonight for a Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader against the South Hamilton Hawks.
The PCM girls are 7-2 on the season and are coming off a 72-44 loss to Roland-Story on Friday night. The Mustang girls will now take on the 7-2 Hawks who are coming off a 43-29 win over Nevada on Friday. The Mustang girls have been led in scoring this season by sophomore Tori Lindsay who is averaging 11.9 points per game. This will be the last game for the PCM girls before their winter break.
The PCM boys are 4-4 on the season and are coming off a close 41-38 loss to Roland-Story on Friday night. The Mustang boys will try and get their 4th conference win against the 7-1 Hawks who are coming off a 67-52 loss to Nevada on Friday. The PCM boys are led in scoring by junior Gavin Van Gorp who is averaging 14.4 points per game.
Tonight’s doubleheader in Jewell starts with the girls game at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow.
