The PCM boys and girls basketball teams fell to Heart of Iowa Conference opponent South Hamilton Tuesday night. 

The PCM  girls dropped their contest 60-38 against the Hawks to fall to 7-3 on the season and 4-2 in the conference. The Mustang girls were led in scoring on the night by junior Addison Steenhoek who had nine points. The PCM girls will be back in action on January 4th against Montezuma.

The PCM boys fell to the Hawks 58-48 to drop to 4-5 on the season and 3-3 in the conference. The Mustang boys were led in scoring by senior Jake Wendt who had 14 points and junior Gavin Van Gorp who had 12. PCM boys basketball coach Tony Ford tells KNIA/KRLS sports that a slow start plagued his team and although they fought back to get the lead in the third, they ran out of gas in the end. The PCM boys will be back in action Thursday when they host Chariton.
