The Knoxville City Council approved the hire of Confluence Inc. to update their Veterans District master plan at their meeting Monday night.
The City of Knoxville most recently had their Veterans District master plan updated in November of 2020 and the city felt hiring Confluence Inc. was appropriate to update this plan after three years. This company will provide an update to the color, 2D master plan, and land use plan previously developed for the Veterans District. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery says the current plan has been working but believes it is important to have it updated.
“It worked for us and it has for the past three years but there has been a lot of development that has evolved in response to some of the changes and circumstances as well of development opportunities in the district that we believe now three years later that there needs to be some updates to that plan.”
The total fee to hire Confluence Inc. was $9,500.
