Before heading into winter break, the Pella boys wrestling team will try to knock off a squad that has stayed near the top of the Little Hawkeye Conference for several years.

The Dutch travel to Norwalk for a triangular that also includes Centerville. Pella Head Coach Jay Pike is hopeful recent momentum and success for his squad will allow the Dutch to contend with a school that has several conference titles and state qualifiers to its name.

“It will be a good opportunity to see where we stand, Jake Brown has done a great job with that program,” he says. “That’s one school we haven’t beaten since I’ve been here — they just keep rebuilding, and that’s what we’re trying to get to and be at that level.”

Matches begin at 5:30 this evening in Norwalk.
