Preparations for the 2024-2025 school year have started at Pleasantville Community Schools.
In addition to working on the budget and calendar of events for next year, Superintendent Tony Aylsworth says that the district has begun the process of hiring new staff members. Aylsworth added that now is the best time to begin recruiting new staff members and finding ways to employ them.
“This is when that primetime season begins. We know that there’s a number of teachers that graduate in December from their university programs, and so looking ahead to how can we identify and recruit the best of those people, and maybe create innovative ways for them to be employed with us. So, we’re always trying to think outside the box in order to do anything we can to identify talent, and then recruit, retain talent once we get them here.”
