The PCM boys basketball team dominated offensively to defeat the Chariton Chargers 90-71 Thursday night in a game heard live on the KRLS3 stream.

The Mustang boys got on top early in the contest and never trailed for the commanding victory over the Chargers in their last game before the holiday break. Gavin Van Gorp led PCM in scoring on the night with 29 points while Jake Wendt had 22. The Mustangs had four total players in double figures to contribute to their offensive explosion. The win moves the PCM boys to 5-5 on the season and head coach Tony Ford was impressed with his team’s offensive production.

“It’s something we’ve turned our focus to the last two weeks, is how are we going to score more points? I thought we had a couple guys who pitched in and really made everything gel really well tonight. I was just really happy with the effort of the whole team.”

The PCM boys will be back in action on January 4th when they host Montezuma.
