A warmer than average pattern greets the region as the Christmas holiday approaches. Marvin Percha with the National Weather Service in Des Moines says temperatures will remain well above average, but far from some all-time records across the area. Percha says a combination of rain and fog may make travel a bit more difficult Sunday through Tuesday, but no hazardous winter weather is expected.
