The Indianola City Council approved multiple developments at their meeting Monday, including the Kentucky Ridge, Emerald Bay, and Deer Run. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News all the developments will still be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and Indianola City Council.

“This is step one of the process, this gives that main entitlement to the developers to say we want this type of development, now we can move forward in the process. Let’s get the design down, what the buildings look like, what the utilities are going to be, where the lot lines are going to be, what the elevations on the ground are going to be. We’ve got a site-planning process, preliminary plat and final platting process, and construction documents that all need to be submitted. And most of those are reviewed by the city council with a recommendation from planning and zoning.”
