The Knoxville Girls basketball Squad has a list of things to work on during the Christmas break when the Panthers get back into the gym. One of the emphasis is to be ready for the class 4A regional at the end of the season. The Panthers have played two fellow class 4A teams and have lost both to Bondurant-Farrar and Pella. Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the South Central Conference does not give team a chance to go up against teams that play an attacking pressure defense like Pella showed in Knoxville’s last game. Ritchhart adds it just goes back to playing better defense.

Ritchhart: “The hard part and I told the girls, we don’t see this attacking up and down pressure. We just have to get better on offense and defense.”

Knoxville gets back to the season on January 2nd with an important game in the South Central Conference at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
