The Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad is off to an 8-3 start on the season, one of the best starts in recent memory. Among the reasons is due to a couple of players being ranked at or near the top of the Bound individual standings. Addi Wadle is 13th in all classes in scoring at 22.2 points per game. She also is 4th in all classes in shot attempts with 212, she is 8th in the state with 91 three point shots attempted, and 5th overall in three point shots made with 34. It doesn’t stop for the Saints on the defensive side as Gaby Overgaard is 5th overall with 37 blocked shots. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports is it good to see someone on offense and defense represented among the best in Iowa.
Goff: “Good to see Addi up there too, and she’s also one of the top girls in making three point shots and that goes to her scoring as well. It’s good to see two girls, one on offense and another on defense and that’s why we’ve been so successful to start.”
The Saints will get back to the season on January 2nd against Murray.
