Ten student-athletes from Norwalk Community High School are competing for the Des Moines Lincoln boys swim team this winter. The Rails are 3-1-1 in dual meets reported on gobound.com, with wins over Des Moines East, Fort Dodge and Newton.

The list of Norwalk swimmers includes seniors Adam Lingor, Dylan Marquardt and Vincent Martin, junior Aidan Basinger, sophomores Trafton Baity, Keegan Kraft, Brayden Plourde and Kingston Smith, and freshmen Reece Basinger and Jesse Sellers.

According to Bound, seven Norwalk swimmers rank among the team’s top three in at least one event. Kraft sports the Rails’ top times in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.5) and the 200-yard individual medley (27.57). Marquardt has the team’s top time of 1:07.93 in the 100 breaststroke. Plourde and Kraft both rank in the top three of four different events.

Lincoln’s next meet is scheduled for January 4 at Ames.
