The Knoxville Wrestling Squad will jump right back into competition with several dual meets in January. On the 4th, the Panthers head to Eddyville to battle the Rockets, Albia and Cardinal. Then the competition really ramps up with a dual meet at Norwalk as the Panthers will battle the host Warriors, Ankeny Centennial and Cedar Rapids Washington. Coach Skylar Spaur tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his guys need to be ready for some outstanding competition.

Spaur: “Expecting to go in there and go 3-0, and then head to Norwalk to face them, Ankeny Centennial and a Cedar Rapids school, then following that with our Senior Night and get into the time of the season where we really need to rock and roll.”

Spaur adds while young, his team is making progress and they need to have that killer instinct and go for pins and not just settle for decisions.
