The annual Panthers vs. Cancer fundraiser in Knoxville continues to seek silent auction donations for the large cancer fundraiser on January 12th.
The Panthers vs. Cancer auction raises funds to help those in the community that are navigating a cancer diagnosis, ensuring that they have access to the best care in Knoxville. Funds raised from the auction will be donated directly to the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Foundation, to support the production and furnishing of the new Don and Margaret Long Infusion Center. All of the current items listed in the silent auction can be found here and bidding starts on January 10th. Knoxville girls basketball coach Matt Ritchhart says they want to help the event raise as much money as possible for the hospital.
“All of the proceeds from Panthers vs. Cancer go directly to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics and as people drive by they can see the amazing progress of the new addition to the hospital. Anything we can do to help make that new facility as top of the line as we can do, that’s our goal with the new cancer treatments happening in town starting I think this spring or so. That’s been our goal. To donate as much money as possible to the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.”
Last year’s Panthers vs. Cancer event raised $48,000.
