The Indianola girls basketball team will focus on lowering their turnover count in the new year, as they are averaging over 20 turnovers per contest in their opening nine games. Head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports the Indians have been in multiple close games this year, and turnovers have led to them being on the wrong side of some of the scoreboards. Jannsen said over the Christmas break they have focused on controlling the ball, and will have their scrimmages focus on making the easy passes and good shots. The Indians resume their season January 5th against Dallas Center-Grimes.
