Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch is thankful for everyone involved in making 2023 a successful year for the City of Knoxville. 

The City of Knoxville was busy in 2023 with continued work on the Veteran’s District, housing opportunities becoming available, downtown revitalization, unique events taking place in town, along with the 2023 Knoxville Nationals. Mayor Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS News that it took many dedicated people and a lot of support for everything to happen in 2023. Hatch says that everything that went into this last year makes him proud to be a part of Knoxville. 

“I just want to say thank you to everyone. Thank you to everyone that is involved in all of those events, and all of those projects. There are just so many people that go unnoticed who make these things happen year in and year out. The community members, all of the volunteers, and everyone that just steps up to make things happen, it just makes you awfully proud to be a part of Knoxville. I just want to say thank you to everybody.”
